Benoit Mandelbrot ushered in a new synthesis of math, art, life, and the universe. Ok, I'm impressed.
He created the first meager fractal image revealing a mathematical monstrosity that still bears his name.
The Mandelbrot Set and other related ilk are among the most complex objects known to us.
They reveal new cosmi, into which portals are opened. Images brought back from my travels follow.
This warty, butt-faced critter is one deep customer indeed.
They say that the difference between the size of the entire Mandelbrot Set (shown here) and the smallest part you can zoom into, is greater than the difference between the size of the Universe and a sub-atomic particle. Wow!
